TOUCH RUGBY - 6v6 league (Adult -- Mixed) [Fall '19]

Our Fall Touch Rugby season begins mid-September and runs until late November.

Play Vancouver’s Touch Rugby league is run by two Touch experts — one Kiwi and one Canuck who, between them, have played Touch, 15s, 7s and Rugby League for over 50 years — including national representative rugby and as coaches of representative rugby in two different codes.

Our league follows International Federation of Touch rules.

Games occur on Friday evenings (kick-offs at 7 pm and 8 pm), and on Sunday afternoons (kick-offs at 1pm and 2pm).

Friday games are held on excellent artificial grass pitches at UBC and Sunday games are held on grass fields at Adanac Park.

If only one of the above days works for your team, then you will be scheduled to play only on that day.

Each team plays every other team once over the course of the season, and then each team participates in a double-knockout post-season competition. The total number of games will depend on the number of teams that register. Teams should expect to play a total of 7-10 matches per season.

Myriad prizes are on offer for winners — for good sporting conduct and more. Prizes include hefty bar tabs in addition to the usual hardware, out of which you may imbibe (e.g., handcrafted oversized mugs).

Sign up here as a ‘free agent’ and we’ll place you on a team. If you’d like to enter a full team, please contact us.

The team fee is $600 and you, as captain, can carry an unlimited number of players. We provide jerseys free of charge for up to 10 people when paying a team fee.

The per person fee is $69.95 and includes a team shirt. If paying the per person fee and you do not have a team, we will place you on a ‘free agent’ team or on an established team looking to fill its roster. If you are a small group and want to play together, we will place you all on the same team.

All proceeds from our league support The Soccer Project Foundation, which helps under-served youth to play several sports — not just soccer as the name suggests but.. yes… Touch Rugby too. The same people running this Touch league work with the above under-served youth. And we welcome volunteers from our Adult league to help grow the Touch code amongst local youth.

Hope to see you on the pitch!
